What to do on Orcas Island:
Just relax and enjoy
Read and take a nap
Watch the boats go by
Walk to Orcas village shops and ferry landing (10 minutes each way)
Enjoy your morning coffee or tea on the front porch of the historic Orcas Hotel while watching the ferries come and go (a ten minute walk)
Go on a whale watching tour leaving from Orcas village
Take a scenic drive past the Westsound Marina and on to Deer Harbor; take public walking trails along harbor
Rent a kayak or bike in Orcas Village
Drive or bike through scenic Crow Valley and visit the Crow Valley School House museum (Wednesdays and Saterdays)
Drive (or hike) up Mount Constitution for great views of the islands.
Hike up Mount Turtleback (a one hour moderate climb) starting
from south trailhead parking lot on Deer Harbor Road
Have a picnic lunch on top of Moss Hill (follow trail starting just left of woodshed behind the house)
Take the trail to the beach below the house
Grab the binoculars and go birdwatching
Swim or fish in Cascade Lake (take a picnic lunch along too)
Visit the historical museum and shops in Eastsound village
Indulge yourself at one of Orcas Island's many fine restaurants
Get some fresh seafood at Buck Bay Shellfish just past Olga
Take a 1/2 mile hike to the beautiful beach at Obstruction Pass State Park
Shop the Eastsound Saturday Farmer's Market (May - October, 10AM - 3PM)
Hike or mountain bike some of the dozens of miles of Moran State Park trails
Visit Cascade Falls or hike into remoteTwin Lakes
Visit the Olga Art Gallery
Don't miss  Orcas Is.Pottery near West Beachon on a nice day as well as Crow Valley Pottery across from the golf course on the way to Eastsound
Take the inter-island ferry to Friday Harbor and spend the afternoon touring the town
Take your bike on the inter-island ferry to Lopez Island for a day of easy (flat terrain) cruising and visiting the 10+ incredible public access beaches
Visit historic American Camp, British Camp and Roche Harbor on neighboring San Juan Island (by car or shuttle and inter-island ferry)
Take in a movie at the Soundview theatre

Play golf at Orcas Island's one and only golf course
Listen to Radio Lopez Island: KLOI 102.9 FM for eclectic music
Kayak 4 miles to Yellow Island Nature Conservancy (you need to call ahead to make a reservation) Shorter trip if you launch at Deer Harbor**
Walk the labyrinth at Emmanual Episcopal church in Eastsound
Take a ride in a Biplane at Orcas Airport
